The team at Impact Foundation loves new ideas and seeks to find creative and engaging ways to explore the unique companies within our portfolio and ecosystem.
In the spirit of learning, we’ve launched The Impact Reading Room, an internal book club centered on works written by authors across our ecosystem, including Portfolio Companies, Donors/Investors, and partners.
Behind every investment is a story worth telling, and we know we learn a lot from the people who are aligning their lives and dollars with Kingdom-focused purposes.
Through these shared stories and conversations, we’re deepening our relationships, broadening our understanding, and being inspired by the ways God is working through the people and companies we serve.
What We’ve Been Reading
Dark Traffic: Noel Thomas (with Robb Suggs)
Dark Traffic by Noel Thomas exposes the complex and evolving world of human trafficking, a $150 billion industry fueled by organized crime and the exploitation of vulnerable people.
As co-founder and CEO of Dark Watch, Thomas shares how advanced technology and data analysis are transforming the way law enforcement identifies, investigates, and prosecutes trafficking networks.
Through personal experiences and real-world insights, Thomas challenges common misconceptions about human trafficking and reveals how it often operates in plain sight.
Dark Traffic equips readers with a deeper understanding of the issue and encourages them to recognize the warning signs and take an active role in combating trafficking within their own communities.
No Elevator To Everest: Will Acuff
In No Elevator to Everest, author Will Acuff opens his heart and shares his deeply personal journey from seasons of despair to a life filled with hope and joy.
Through his family's experiences with depression, trauma, and disability, Will offers an honest and encouraging reminder that God's love and tenderness are present even in life's most difficult moments. His story invites readers to move beyond familiar assumptions about faith and discover a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God.
Rooted in emotional health, spiritual growth, and a deeper awareness of God's presence, No Elevator to Everest is a beautiful reminder that faith isn't just about reaching life's mountaintop moments. It's about learning to walk with God through every valley, finding peace in His presence, and discovering the joy He offers along the way.
