The Table in Review
Highlights from
2024-2025
A year ago, a bold idea took shape: what if we could create a space where women—and eventually a broader community—could learn the ins and outs of impact investing, gain confidence, and invest in underrepresented faith driven founders driving change around the world?
Thanks to a group of pioneering women—Suzanne Daniel, Dana Wichterman, Michele Dudley, Aimee Minnich, Alana Taube, and Katherine Braynard—that idea became The Table, a seven-week introductory course designed to grow participants’ skills and confidence in impact investing. Over the past year, Impact Foundation has stewarded this initiative as part of its mission to empower generous, faith-driven Donor/Investors and make impact investing more accessible.
From Vision to Impact
Since the initial pilot in April 2024, The Table has grown from a small experimental community into a full-fledged course. To date:
8 cohorts have launched with 133 Donor/Investors participating
Over $920,000 has been invested into 13 companies and funds across more than 15 countries
What began as a women's-only group has now expanded to include co-ed cohorts and multigenerational teams—fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, and spouses learning and investing together.
Here’s a sampling of The Table investment portfolio:
The Response
Throughout these eight cohorts, we’ve found that peer-based learning is powerful. Participants come from different backgrounds but share a willingness to learn and desire to be good stewards of the capital God has entrusted to them. Before joining The Table, participants rated their confidence in making an impact investment at 5 out of 10. After completing the course, that number rose to 7.87.
Net Promoter Score: 87
Testimonies from Table participants:
"It took me from a perspective of only focusing on returns (what has created the wealth that I have personally to invest in God’s creation) to what is the greatest work that can be accomplished by the money invested."
"This was a wonderful time of learning for us and we are looking forward to gaining more experience and confidence in investing for impact."
"Loved the first session - most clear and helpful explanation of Investment 101 I’ve ever heard."
"It was an amazing way to introduce our family to impact investing and the team... All in all, a worthwhile investment and my daughters loved it."
"Can't begin to express my gratitude for each of you and the opportunity you afforded to us."
What We've Learned
Safe, supportive learning environments matter. The freedom to ask any questions unlocks real growth and we've continued to receive feedback that women's only groups are critical for some women's participation in the course.
Exposure is everything. The wide breadth of investments—from children’s media to African healthcare funds—showed us the breadth of opportunities to make a difference. While it may be like comparing apples to oranges—or more like apples to zucchinis—we believe that this diversity of deal flow exposes us to the countless ways God may have us make an impact through investing.
Our thesis is expanding. While we began focused on women investing in women, we’ve grown to include other underrepresented groups, especially entrepreneurs operating in emerging and frontier markets. We aim to go where others won’t and thereby unlock latent impact.
Investing unites families. As parent-child pairs and spouses have experienced The Table together, we've witnessed how impact investing can foster deeper family unity in stewardship. Our hope is that families feel more confident and united in making stewardship decisions together after completing the course—an outcome we wholeheartedly encourage. As such, we now waive the $10k contribution requirement for a spouse or child joining a participant at The Table so that they can experience it together.
Looking Ahead
Now in our second year of The Table, we remain committed to refining The Table, equipping more impact and faith driven investors, and shepherding more capital into underrepresented founders building Kingdom-aligned ventures. We seek to prepare women and the next generation for the Great Wealth Transfer, engage families across generations, and serve the Impact Foundation community more faithfully.
We anticipate running women's and co-ed cohorts twice a year, with our next cohort launching in January 2026, although special groups with key partners, such as National Christian Foundation and Faith Driven Investor, may occur at other times throughout the year.
