Heaven Films was created to bring powerful, faith-driven stories to life through film, beginning with its debut motion picture, The Thief on the Cross. Inspired by Pastor Colin Smith’s book Heaven: How I Got Here, the movie seeks to share the Good News of the Gospel by portraying God’s incredible and unconditional grace through the story of the penitent thief crucified alongside Jesus.

The Thief on the Cross is a historical drama that follows the imagined life of Dismas, a Jewish man who turns to thievery after the murder of his father by Roman soldiers. His journey of revenge and survival leads him into dangerous alliances and ultimately back into prison at the very moment of history’s greatest event. As he faces his final day on earth beside Jesus on the cross, the story reveals the transformative power of grace, offering audiences a moving reminder of redemption and hope.
