Tinsae Injera Bakery

Tinsae Injera Bakery is creating economic opportunities in Ethiopia by providing meaningful jobs for women through the production of injera, a staple food and flatbread made from teff flour and consumed daily by millions across the country. Run by a group of women from Adama with a shared faith and vision, Tinsae exists to bring income, dignity, and hope to its workers while serving the local community with quality, unadulterated food.

The bakery employs and empowers women at every level, with a focus on developing leaders from within. With a 400 sqm facility, Tinsae is preparing to scale its impact with the addition of more injera ovens and a warehouse. Rooted in faith and resilience, the name “Tinsae”—meaning “resurrection”—reflects their story of renewal and the new life they’re building for themselves, their families, and their community.
